b. NM 1908. A source who said his source was your Roosevelt co. book, gives a

death date for Lawrence SUMRALL as 1909. Ollie B is shown back in Parker Co

with her father and children in the 1910 census, but no Lawrence. I was unable

to fine a cemetery listing in Roosevelt Co online for Lawrence. Would love to

from High School in Portales - are there school records for about 1920-22? My

mother's family also lived there before 1910... Martin Eugene Hawkins, but I

know of no significant events in their lives there. Perhaps he homesteaded? If

with him were his wife, RueBlanche, daughter, MaudeAmy and son, George.

RueBlanche died in 1907. In 1910, My grandfather remarried Miss Jim Porter

Jackson. Sometime in the early 1920's he decided to move to the Denver,

Colorado area. Left behind in the move was a large trunk which contained papers

and pictures belonging to the first wife, RueBlanche, who was my maternal

grandmother. Does this trunk still exist, or any of the papers,etc.?

RueBlanche's maiden name was Freeman. She was born in Pontotoc County,

Mississippi and was said to have had more than the average education, which was

represented in some of the missing papers. Can anyone out there help me? Ann

SIMS, died in Portales 9 Mar 1932 and was buried in an unmarked grave in the

Portales Cemetery 10 Mar 1932. There was a note in the Portales Valley News dated

Thursday March 17, 1932 thanking the kind people of Portales for their sympathy

and kindness during the illness and death of their other, MRS. J. M. SIMS which

was my Abigail. In that note listed the children and their families and one of

them was Mr. and Mrs. A. T. SIMS and daughter. I don't have a clue who the A.

T. SIMS is and would like to possibly find him and or the daughter. I have no

name, date or anything for her. Maybe someone would recognize some of this
