Roosevelt Co. Lookup Volunteers

The following people will do lookups as time permits. Remember, these people are VOLUNTEERS, so make sure you THANK THEM!  If any service requires a charge, such as copy costs, please make arrangements with that person.

List of Names of Aliens With Intent to Become Citizens for Roosevelt, Curry, Chavez Counties, NM. This book is in the Portales library with the full alien registration. I will be happy to do lookups for anyone who is interested. Carefully check spelling as the list given to me says there are errors and writing on applications were difficult to read. Genealogy information can be found on these pages, including wife’s name, children and births, country of origin, ship’s name and port of entry. I also have Military Service Records of WW11, and Military Discharges for Roosevelt County (all wars) that I will do lookups in. Janelle Foster.

I have a copy of Early Settlers of Roosevelt County, 1977, edited by Dona L. Stone, and Pearce S. Grove. I will do lookups for that book.  I will do lookups in Larry Little’s - History of Causey Area and Its Pioneers. I will do lookups in the Roosevelt Co. Marriage book, 1903 – 1953. I will do lookups for the books Elida - To the Best of Our Recollections , 2007 and Floyd - One Hundred Years. I will lookup marriages in the courthouse and cemetery records for local cemeteries. I would be happy to help in any way that I can. If you wish to list me for the inquiry of the  book Sagas of The Wallace Clan by George A. Wallis, that would be fine with me. I am sure that George would love for others to benefit from his writings. He was a wonderful person and loved American western history and his family and the history there of. As I read his book,   Wallace's from Scotland changed their spelling in North Carolina to Wallis. Our family tree line took the new spelling. I will do lookups for the Elida and Kenna area of Roosevelt County, NM. Jayne Taylor.

I will do lookups in the Roosevelt County History Book, the Causey NM History book, and the High Plains History Book. These books contain collections of family histories and Roosevelt County World War II soldiers.
