It was thought that Mrs. Kornegay’s condition was improving but she suffered a reverse when pneumonia set in and was unable to hold her own due to her weakened condition.
Mrs. Kornegay was formerly a Knight having been reared in this community and married Mr. Kornegay also a native here. They have lived in Portales and surrounding country for a number of years, and many friends will morn her passing.
Burial will be in Portales on Sunday afternoon at

Funeral services for Mrs. Milt Kornegay who passed away in

Funeral services for Mrs. E. M. Kornegay, 41, of 319 Gidding street, who died Wednesday in a hospital at Las
Vegas following an operation, will be held at 2:30 o/clock Sunday afternoon at
the First Baptist church in Portales, with the Rev. J. F. Nix, pastor of the
First Baptist Church of Clovis, in charge.
He will be assisted by the Rev. Joe F. Grizzle, pastor of the

Active pallbearers will be Bob Moore, R. E. McAllister, John Young, Sam McCue, J. H. Lee, Dr. C. E. Moorman, Jake Abernathy and Joe Wilkinson. Honorary pallbearers are C. M. Compton, Arthur Baird, Burl Johnson, Geo. Littlefield, W. D. Mack, Cash Ramey, Dr. R. E. Krous, Archie Key, Cass Lyons, Frank Aucutt, J. A. Saylor, O. N. Harris, Ernest Knott, and Jack Massey.

and Mrs. Purcell, Mr. and Mrs. Yoder and daughter, Juanita; an aunt, Mrs. T. A.
Culpepper, and daughter, Madeline, of Amarillo; Mr. Culpepper; Mr. and Mrs. R.
H. Grissom, Santa Fe; and Mr. and Mrs. Sam McCue, Roswell.
